Honestly, I've only tried Burmese food a couple of times. From what I hear, Ye Yint Cafe has been around for a long time and was recommended to be authentic by some Burmese people I've met out here. That being said, I went with their recommendations on what to try here and looked around to see what others were ordering. I didn't know this but there's a decently large Burmese community in this area of Singapore and many come to this plaza for more authentic Burmese food. And Ye Yint Cafe is a place where many gather. Shan noodles, beef alacarte, and tea :) Overall a satisfying meal. It was a first trying the Shan noodles prepared in this way. It was flavorful and very good. I'd order it again and it had a good spicy kick to it too. The beef, was oily to me and overcooked to my liking but still was good. The tea, was good too. Strong but good. Atmosphere, people just hanging out and enjoying the meal. Tables that can be moved and stools as chairs. There is the area where you purchase and then a few seats there and then two other larger areas across the way where you can eat. Price, inexpensive. Service, efficient. Food. tasty with some variety. tea, strong with good tea flavor.
